There were so many stories to discuss following the seventh round of 2019 Monster Energy Supercross, Arlington. Cooper Webb and Ken Roczen were separated by the smallest of margins, Tyler Bowers got disqualified for an aggressive move and Eli Tomac had one of his worst races in quite a while. The latter is particularly confusing and everyone in the Monster Energy Kawasaki camp is rather quiet. A statement from Eli Tomac was released via a press release though.
"Tonight is a tough pill to swallow. I know the team and I expect better results but I am grateful to be leaving Dallas healthy and without injury, especially after my tip over in the main. This is part of racing, some things are out of my control and other things are completely manageable as well as fixable. We'll get back to work this week and work on those things as we head into the halfway point of the season. I still have a lot left in me and I plan on proving that, starting next week in Detroit."
Although that does not clear up too much, it does confirm the fact that there were no mechanical issues that held him back. The fact that he plans on returning with a bang in Detroit means there are no health issues either. Will he get this thing back on track at round eight on Saturday night? Who knows, but there is no doubt that he needs to.
