A BYC Report: Culham

A recap from the first BYC round

The six-round British Youth Championship  kicked off this weekend with the season opener at Culham in Oxfordshire. With new talent rising up through the youth ranks this season, it was brilliant to see some of the best youth riders in the United Kingdom battling it out. Images of that action can be found elsewhere on MX Vice.

Moving onto the 125 championship, Preston Williams took the overall on the weekend and was shortly followed by Jack Grayshon and Louie Kessell. The BW85 class was dominated by Charlie Heyman, with Sam Atkinson and Bailey Johnson hot on his tail, then the Junior 65 rookie class saw Noah Eastwood take the overall followed by Reece Jones and Charlie Richmond.

Changing it up to the SW85 class, we had Will Haddock, Alex Henderson and Warren Clarke rounding up the top three. In the auto class, which features a huge field, Robbie Daly, Brian Gyles and Lucas Lee filled the podium. The Open class was dominated by Max Igham, Drew Anderson and Joseph Dent.

Full race results are on this linkThere are interviews with certain contenders from various classes on this link too.  The next BYC Round at Pontrilas, which will be run on April 27/28, won't be one to miss.
