Another one bites the dust. Jed Beaton has been on the rise in recent weeks and edged closer to his first podium finish with Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing. That progress has been halted now, as he crashed in training today and fractured his sternum. The news was announced on social media.
"Unfortunately Jed Beaton is out for the MXGP in Limburg. Jed broke his sternum earlier today during a practice session at Deurne. We wish him a speedy recovery!"
There is currently no timeline on his recovery. There are just five rounds remaining in the 2019 FIM Motocross World Championship, however, so it is not like there is a ton of time to work with. Beaton currently runs seventh in the MX2 championship standings.
