Ben Watson and Calvin Vlaanderen have already withdrawn from the Hawkstone International, but now another MX2 contender has dropped off of the entry list. It has been confirmed that Thomas Kjer Olsen – a title favourite in MX2 – crashed in January and sustained a hand injury. That will stop him from competing in any pre-season internationals. The MX2 wing of Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing confirmed the news via the following statement.
"Thomas Kjer Olsen won't race this weekend because he is recovering from a small hand injury. The main focus is to be behind the gate at the World Championship opener at Matterley Basin. We are on schedule and we are positive to get the season started!"
Thomas Kjer Olsen's status for the opening round of the 2020 FIM Motocross World Championship, the Grand Prix of Great Britain, has not been called into question. #19 will definitely be on the line at Matterley Basin.
