You may have noticed that Adam Sterry completed qualifying at the Dutch Masters last weekend, but did not race in the motos. What happened? Sterry hurt his ankle, so decided that it was best to avoid aggravating it further in an effort to prepare himself for the Grand Prix of Latvia.
Now, however, F&H Kawasaki have confirmed that the issue will cause him to miss the next two rounds of the FIM Motocross World Championship. "Bad news for Adam Sterry, he hurt his ankle in Mill last weekend," a short statement said. "He is out for Kegums and Teutschenthal. Hopefully he will return for his home GP at Matterley Basin."
Adam Sterry has just released an additional update on social media. "Unfortunately I won't be racing the next two weekends," he said. "I caught my ankle at the Dutch Masters last weekend and done some ligament damage. It was worse than first thought, but we'll be back!"
