It was confirmed earlier today that Josiah Natzke and Buildbase Honda have parted ways. There are no hard feelings, however, which is not always the case in situations like this. The seat that Natzke has vacated will be taken by Josh Gilbert, who has recorded career-best results thus far.
"The team have been very supportive since my crash," Josiah Natzke said in a statement. "It's a tough decision for me and not something I have taken lightly. I would like to thank Willy and the rest of the Buildbase crew for all their hard work."
Dave Thorpe, the team manager at Buildbase Honda, echoed those thoughts. "Josiah's a great kid and a very talented rider and I really feel for him. It was a big crash that has badly affected him. He's going to take time out with our full support and as a team we wish him well."
Stay tuned to MX Vice for more on this story, as we will be conducting an exclusive interview with Josiah Natzke this weekend. Natzke has, however, already confirmed that he will be staying in Europe for a while.
