For the first time since the incident, Jeffrey Herlings has released an update on his condition. "Little bump in the road," he wrote on social media. "We won't be there this weekend for the fight but we won't give up on the war. If everything is going according to plan, then we will be back on the bike by next weekend. Keep you guys posted."
The eleventh round of the MXGP series, the Grand Prix of Lombardia, will take place this weekend. Round twelve will be held in Indonesia two weeks later.

Jeffrey Herlings was on top of the world, but suffered a setback in the form of a broken collarbone earlier today. Herlings was training at Berghem in The Netherlands and had a crash that left him with an injury.
Details are sparse at the moment. However, KTM did release this statement. "Jeffrey Herlings will have surgery to repair a broken right collarbone after a crash while training at Berghem in Holland today," the official statement said. "#84 will undergo the procedure tonight and is highly likely to miss this weekend's Grand Prix of Lombardia at Ottobiano."
Even if Antonio Cairoli sweeps both motos at Ottobiano this weekend, Jeffrey Herlings will still lead the standings by twelve points. More on this developing story when it comes in.
