Stuart Miller, the managing director at CI Sport, has sadly passed away at the age of sixty-eight. CI Sport released the following statement.

It is with heavy hearts that we regret to inform you of the passing of our managing director and friend, Stuart Miller.

Stuart had spent the past eight months battling with cancer; he put up a tough fight, but sadly he was overcome by the illness and passed away at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford on July 3 aged sixty-eight.

Stuart dedicated his life to off-road motorcycle sport, particularly motocross, spending his weekends travelling around the UK and Europe riding, whilst committing himself fully towards building CI Sport and developing the company into what it is today.

Stuart formed CI Sport in the mid eighties; CI Sport started life as a direct descendent of the renowned importers Comerfords, a leading motorcycle outlet at the time. Over the years Stuart worked tirelessly to form strong relationships with industry leading brands such as Alpinestars, Troy Lee Designs, Oakley, Renthal, DEP Pipes and more recently Rekluse Clutches, to name but a few. This, combined with building a comprehensive dealer network across the UK and Europe, has led to CI Sport becoming a household name in the motocross industry. Where Ci Sport is today is down to the hard work and dedication that Stuart has put into the business over the years.

Stuart is survived by his wife Linda, their daughter Carly and two granddaughters. He will be sorely missed as a husband, father and grandfather.

We ask that the family is given time and respect during this extremely difficult period. If you wish to send any cards or special messages to the family, please send them to the CI Sport business address.

Stuart's family have chosen to hold a closed funeral, attended by immediate family members only.

To celebrate Stuart's life, a separate event will be held in his memory, this will be an open invitation to all who knew Stuart who would like to come and share memories. Details will be announced in the coming days.

Looking to the future; it was Stuart's wish that CI Sport continue to operate with the same values and a loyalty that he had imprinted into the company philosophy. To continue to do so, the company will remain under the ownership of Stuart's wife Linda.

We would also like to take this opportunity welcome Stuart and Linda's daughter, Carly, into the CI Sport family. With a strong team of staff around her, Carly will now step in and continue to drive the company forward into its next chapter, ensuring that the business grows and develops in a way that would make Stuart proud.
