Excitement rises as we head into the penultimate round of the AMCA Championship this weekend. After a rather wet and damp round at Culham a couple of weeks ago, riders will be revving to get behind that start gate.
AMCA rules stated at the start of the year that riders had the opportunity to earn up to three hundred bonus points by entering five AMCA club meetings to boost their championship standings. This will be a bit of a game changer in the next few weeks to come, with a few meetings being cancelled due to lack of water or track conditions, if the riders can get to any extra meetings!
Currently leading the MX1 class is Josh Waterman followed by Shane Carless, Ray Rowson, James Dodd, Ryan Crowder and Gary Gibson to round up the top six. After Josh's impressive riding in last round's conditions, can he continue to pull a gap on Carless? It'll undoubtedly be interesting to watch.
Moving onto the MX2 class; Luke Burton leads from Lewis King, Clinton Barrs, Lee Sealey, Jack Gardner and Bradley Tranter. After Clinton took a race win at Culham, can he do the same again at Brookethorpe?
