Team Puerto Rico are still acquiring a significant amount of attention in the days prior to the Motocross of Nations, which will be run at the historic facility of RedBud in the United States this weekend. Kevin Windham has posted hilarious training videos that have captured the attention of the industry, as well as putting his GEICO Honda on eBay, and Travis Pastrana has been keeping busy too, despite the fact that he has many other commitments to adhere to.
Pastrana actually made a fairly significant choice the other day, as he had a selection of machinery to choose from. Five days ago he mentioned that he had narrowed his choice of two-stroke weapon down to two steeds. There was his full factory RM250 from 2002 and then a prototype with an aluminium frame. What decision was made? Pastrana announced on Instagram that he is set to ride a "2006 Ricky Carmichael replica RM250 with a factory Suzuki motor from 2002." There were concerns that Pastrana was considering a switch to a four-stroke, so most will be ecstatic to hear that news.
Kevin Windham will be the only member of Team Puerto Rico on a four-stroke, as he will pilot a CRF450R from GEICO Honda. Ryan Sipes will be on a TC 125 in the MX2 division.
