Kristian Whatley has flown beneath the radar for quite a while now, following a turbulent campaign with the Rob Hooper Racing Yamaha squad. There were countless issues that restricted him in the results column and thus things eventually came to a premature end. Uncertainty surrounded Whatley and his future but now his plans for the upcoming term have been confirmed.
Wildmoor Seven Seven 2 Yamaha have acquired his services, but there is a catch: Kristian Whatley will not race in a certain series and is set to pilot a YZ125 throughout the year. Speaking exclusively to MX Vice, a representative from the team said that he would be riding for fun and that there is absolutely no pressure, as they want him to enjoy himself and have a smile on his face. The races that he contests are completely his choice, although the team obviously hope to see him at a couple of the AMCA rounds.
Wildmoor Seven Seven 2 Yamaha will also have Ryan Morris and Pip Davies in the MX1 class; Luke Dean, Lee Sealey and Jack Wankling will be in MX2. Kristian Whatley will be joined by Richy Roberts and Harvey Matthews on 125s.
